CalFire has sent a notice that BURN PERMITS are required for any kind of burning and all piles must be out by noon. If you don’t have a valid burn permit, you can get one from the North Coast Unified Air Quality Management District on-line at www.ncuaqmd.org . Once you have a valid permit, you must call for burn day status at 866-287-6329 to see if it ok to burn. Always have a 10-foot clearance down to bare soil around your burn pile. Have a shovel and a water source readily available. An adult must be present during burning. Failure to follow these instructions could result in a citation and fines. Don’t be “That Person” who causes a fire in our community.
