The Lewiston Fire Department is an all-volunteer fire fighting group located in the Trinity Alps of northern California serving the Community of Lewiston and vicinity.
The District will provide Fire and Rescue and other Emergency Services to the people of Lewiston, and surrounding areas, as well as Mutual Aid to other Districts as needed and when able.
The District provides financial support to the Lewiston Fire Department, making purchases and maintenance of Fire Department Equipment from the District's General Fund as a function of the District's regular expenditures.
Other than financially, the Department operates independently of Board Action.
The New Lewiston Fire Station was dedicated with an Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Sunday June 24, 2018, which started at 1:00 pm before a generous crowd of friends and supporters.
Free hotdogs (cooked by the Lewiston Lions) and safety gifts were offered.
