  1. CALL TO ORDER, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE AND DETERMINATION OF QUORUM


 

  1. INPUT REGARDING AGENDA & NON AGENDA ITEMS:

The president of the Board will allow any individual or group representative to address the Board on any subject covered or not covered by an item in the agenda at this time. Additional opportunities will be given for the public to comment on Agenda items as they are recognized and given the opportunity to speak. The Board of Directors reserves the right to limit the time allotted to each speaker and the number of times an individual is allowed to address the Board on a given subject. In accordance with the Brown Act, unless an item has been placed on the agenda there shall be no action taken. The Board may (1) acknowledge receipt of the information; (2) refer to staff for further study; (3) refer the matter to the next meeting.

    1. Monthly Activity Report (Information only, no Board Action required)
  2. CONSENT ITEMS
    1. Approve Minutes from the August 5, 2025 meeting.
    2. A check for $15,000 was taken out of Coast Central and Deposited to our Umpqua account.
    3. Mid-Month bills for 8207 in the amount of $7,854.82 and 8217 for $1,027.65
    4. Payroll including liabilities for fund 8207 for $ 11,312.66 and 8217 for $1,541.99
  3. FINANCE PAYMENT OF DISTRICT BILLS & INVOICES & ITEMS RE: FINANCES
    1. Authorize payment of new bills – Fund 8207 $ 10,573.50 and 8217 $901.24
    2. Cash balances of 8207 $3,424.33 + $7,633.88 = $11,058.21 *Dorothy and 8217 $80,015.92
  4. DISTRICT GENERAL ITEMS
    1. Discussion and possible action regarding the Cross Connection Plan from Russel Roberts as mandated by the State. Also vote and approve the corresponding resolution 2025-4.
    2. Read and vote to approve Resolution 2025-5 Adopting the Appropriations Limit for FY2025/2026
    3. Mel Deardorff is retiring as Fire Chief and approve and appoint Chuck Colby as the new Fire Chief
    4. Reimbursement for Fire personnel for Shasta College courses
    5. Discussion regarding high fuel bills 8207 $1,029.77
    6. Administrative Report – Info only – possible items for next agenda
    7. Update Rate Study
  5. FACILITIES
    1. Update on when Wayne will be starting
    2. Discussion and possible action on maintenance & repair items at LCSD, or Community Park (bathrooms/snack shack)
    3. Discussion and possible action on security system for gym area
  6. PUBLIC COMMENT: The public is invited to address issues not on the agenda
